Every project begins with the room, your needs and preferred style. The design may be built with prefabricated/RTA cabinetry, fully custom cabinetry or a thoughtful combination of both.
Three ways to build the design
The design comes first. The cabinetry follows.
Custom design describes how the project is planned. Prefabricated, fully custom and combined solutions describe how the cabinetry is produced and assembled. Available door and drawer-front sizes set practical limits in an established collection, while matching panels and mouldings can still create tailored features.
Combined Cabinetry Solution
Prefabricated cabinets can be combined with available doors, matching panels, mouldings and purpose-built components to create an appliance cabinet, wine bar, open shelving or decorative hood.
Fully Custom Cabinetry
Cabinetry is manufactured specifically for the project when the required dimensions, door style, finish, material or construction cannot be achieved with an established collection.

Framed and frameless are different systems—not quality grades.
The better choice depends on the preferred appearance, door collection, cabinet specifications and design requirements. Materials and details vary by product line, so actual samples and current specifications should be reviewed before ordering.

Framed Cabinetry
A face frame is attached to the front of the cabinet box, creating a distinct construction and door reveal. The collection includes multiple door profiles and finish options, allowing the final look to range from clean and transitional to more traditional.

Frameless Cabinetry
The cabinet box has no front face frame, creating a clean full-overlay appearance and a wider clear opening within the same overall cabinet width.

Collection-specific sizing note: Selected Horizon Series wall cabinets are available with a 13-inch depth, compared with the more common 12-inch wall-cabinet depth.
